The most controversial screenshot of Tree of Savior I’ve ever taken. Let’s start with a party system. In this game, you can make a party up to 5 members. As you can see in the screenshot, Dearest party is composed of 6 players, which is more than the game is allowed. This is not a visual bug, as the whole 6 members of the party are present in the screenshot. How to do this, you ask? There are several ways to do it, but the easiest way is to click the party link (the one that enables you to join a party) simultaneously. I have no experience in this matter so that’s as much info as I can provide.
Now, this screenshot is taken during a 280 WB hunt, a Helgasercle. When a WB is killed, the top 6 players that deal the most damage to the boss are granted a WB Cube, along with their entire party. However, there’s a bug (or hidden mechanics that we don’t know yet) that makes a cube only drop to just several highest ranked player that deals the most damage to the boss, i.e. just the top 1 and 2 of the damage dealer that got the cube along with their party. And it’s happened at this 280 WB hunt.
As you can imagine, the community explodes after seeing this screenshot, and most of them start to accuse Dearest party as a cheater, bug-abuser, or any other bad title. The truth is, I do not really care about it, because I have my own theory of why the bug happened, and it’s not involved with abusing the party bug. It’s true that having 6 party members in your party gives advantages on becoming the highest damage dealer on 280 WB hunt. However, I’m pretty much sure that without the bug, Dearest party can easily slip into the ranks. Anyway, it’s still the fact that I’m the one provide the screenshot to the community. Perhaps I care a bit, maybe?
About the cube bug, I suspect that it has something to do with the top damage dealers. As you can see, I frequently do a Dullahan hunts, and the cube bug is happening even when there’s no party bug is used. Teamed up with several players that’s able to dish a lot of damage, I came to a conclusion that, if the top damage dealer deals a lot of damages to the boss, such that the damage difference it too high with the lower damage dealers, only those who able to keep up is getting the cube, along with their respective party. This theory wraps this entire section of bugs.
