Fast travel is a concept where you have several locations in a map (Usually this map is called an overworld map) and by selecting one of those locations, you’re transported to their respective location.
I need fast travel script in my recent project, so I do some search for them. Most of them were good enough. However, there’s a problem. My map is big enough that they won’t fit on the screen. Resizing the map could solve the problem but make several locations that are very close to each other looks like just one location on the resized map. And that’s the background story of this script.
Months passed. I was promised to bring you guys the demo for Oracle of Forgotten Testament by several weeks, but unfortunately, the demo was delayed for 3 months++.
A user on gdunlimited is reporting that the script is not working properly on his project. I do my research and found that it’s caused by game switches initialized through scripts in his project. This caused the game switches name becomes nil instead of “”, thus make the script didn’t work properly.
A fix for the problem had been applied to the script.
My circle, Great Conspiracy Theory is participate in Comic Frontier 8. To make up for my missing since mid 2016, we’re working harder on our upcoming game, Touhou – Oracle of Forgotten Testament. Currently, there’s only 2 people involved in the development, including myself. Worry not, as my partner is quite strong in his own department. Also, the third comrade is ready to join us to bring this stuff into perfection.
Anyway, a demo made of around 3 or 4 days (yes you read that correctly, 3 or 4 days) are ready to be tested on the event. Let us hope that this project can be finished and not deserted like many other project I’ve involved with.
We’re not going to upload the demo for several weeks due to some technical reasons. I promise that I’ll try to bring the demo into public as fast as I could. Have this title screen for a while instead. 🙂
It turns out that when using my Skip Message Script on RMVXA, it’s faster to skip through messages by tapping space button rather than holding the CTRL. This made the script inferior and not a decent option to use. Worry not, as I’ve updated the script so that when you hold the CTRL button, it’ll behave the same way like when the space button is tapped.
Another update to this script is, the ability to dismiss “\.” and “\|” code when you’re holding CTRL. The old version of this script is still running the codes because I’m only invented the skip message for simple message, and forgot to pay attention on these codes.
So, 2015 is a messy time in my work history. Lot’s of stuff happened, and I’ll announce several things regarding of that.
Cursed Wish, One For All & All For One, Breaking The Waves, Sell Phone, Incolae Castella, are on hiatus due many of the team member need to focus on their real life for a while. I’ll give a new announcement regarding this matter around June or July. I’ll still work on it in the mean time, but I’ll focus on lesser stuff first.
Digimon World Ace, are on hiatus for undefined time. The project leader are having serious health problem and need to do some treatment for a long time. I’m not sure if the project will be continued. Still, it’s sad to lose this amazing project. T_T
The Final Boss Battle, will be hiatus until everything else is completed.
I’ll try to finish many project as I can for this years. It’s been a long time since I felt productive. In the mean time, enjoy this house of new project that I’ve made.
P.S. Don’t worry, none of them will be abandoned, as I strive to complete every project I ever took on.
